I have found that the numbered paragraph and bulleted list buttons do not work when putting in text on the forum. They don't work here either.
This is a CSS issue. We use CSS that does a reset (so all browsers work the same way on the site) which resets bullet and outline lists (and makes them blank). It should be fairly easy to fix, so I'll try to get something out that fixes this soon.
